Food is great of you know what you're looking for. Otherwise the large menu can get a bit confusing. Atmosphere is nice. Bathrooms are always clean. Servers speak English so don't be afraid to ask questions!
This place serves the best mapo tofu I've ever had. The value is crazy good. We generally pay around 20/person for very good quality food.

I never leave reviews or comments.. But I am so very pleased with this restaurant that I had to leave a review as I finish my meal!! The food is fresh and wonderfully prepared!! But what really stood out for me was the amazing service! I've worked in restaurant/service industry for many years and our server, Simon, was one of the best servers I have ever had. He did such a great job taking care of our table of 7 people! We never once felt like we were waiting for anything and we had everything needed! This was our first time and we all really enjoyed our time here! Authentic Chinese cuisine. Could not have picked a better place for my bridal shower, 40th birthday party, and hubby’s birthday party this year. They do it all! The food is always amazing and the staff very friendly and accommodating. This is our go-to place for great tasting food and great service. The food we cannot stop raving about. We are never satisfied and want to keep trying everything on the menu.
This place has the best steamed rice I have ever had in my life. Like how the heck do you make steam rice taste that good I mean it's steam rice probably one of the most over looked type of rices out their. Texture is perfect, it's ever so lightly salted and has a almost a buttery flavor.
We had seen negative comments on here and almost didn't try the restaurant. We realized the negatives were all older comments, the newer ones were more positive. We decided to ignore the negatives and go. We are SO glad we did. The food is amazing! Very authentic! It's a beautiful restaurant and the staff is so friendly. We met Max, Sandy and Mandy, who were all very outgoing and welcoming. We highly recommend Szechuan House.
Best Sichuan cuisine in Chicagoland. The Dan Dan noodles are excellent! Try the twice cooked fish fillets! (not your grandma's fish fry) It is here that you can find the REAL Sichuan Sauce, Rick and Morty. Wub.. ...and garlic Tong Hao! :D Update: make note of the tetrahexahedra in the lighting. Cool.
